The Bank Job (2008) is a British heist movie. This is a little more high-budget than Tuesday and more traditionally written. Starring Jason Statham, this feels like a second attempt at The Italian Job, though not as good. Another film that benefits from its top tier cast, which includes Ashes to Ashes‘ Stephen Campbell Moore and Daniel Mays. A proper action flick with tunneling, explosions, torture, and murder, not to mention mystery and twists. Plus, it’s based on a true story of amateurs asked by the higher ups in government to break into a bank vault to extract blackmail photographs surrounding a Princess Margaret scandal, and the names of the robbers were never released to the press and are not used in the final film. Still not exactly the best film ever, but if you like heist movies, this one is not bad.
