News: Cosmic Shambles launches today

You may have read Anglonerd’s review of The Incomplete Map of the Cosmic Genome, a paid subscription app (and online web video magazine) about science. Today, it has bloomed in an entirely new form: a hub of media and articles for the interested. The Cosmic Shambles Network is created and maintained by comedian Robin Ince and Trunkman Productions. Here are just a few of their offerings:

  • Book Shambles, a podcast about books hosted by Robin Ince and Josie Long. This was already a part of Cosmic Genome, though it has existed in many forms before that, including Utter Shambles.
  • Vitriola’s Music Shambles, a podcast about music hosted by Robin Ince and Michael Legge. Vitriola was already a podcast, but this is the first time it’s lassoed under the Cosmic Shambles name.
  • Speakezee, a new podcast by Bruce Hood modeled on his lecture series
  • Professor Brian Cox Live Q&A, a podcast that consists of the Q&A portion of live shows where the audience asked Brian questions about science
  • Quest for Wonder, the web puppet show for kids, starring puppet versions of Ince and Cox going around a science museum
  • The Incomplete Map of the Cosmic Genome, the original app with more than 75 hours of video material (still paid subscription)
  • Chaos of Delight, an interview web series based on one of the many features in Cosmic Genome, inspired by a Charles Darwin quote
  • Live shows
  • and a whole bunch more!
